Memory Comfort was the highlight of Carpenter’s presence at The Flooring Show, marking the launch of a new luxury underlay made from a unique blend of visco foam. Designed to deliver exceptional comfort underfoot while maintaining the support needed beneath the carpet, the high-density underlay is available in 9mm and 11mm thicknesses.
To help visitors experience the product firsthand, Carpenter installed 11mm Memory Comfort beneath the stand carpet. The product received significant positive feedback from attendees.
Alongside the launch, Carpenter showcased an enhanced version of its Midas underlay range. Available in 8mm, 10mm and 12mm thicknesses, the updated Midas is Carpenter’s first double non-woven underlay product, designed for structural integrity and an improved fitter experience. The top layer has also been redesigned with a grid to support more accurate cutting. In addition, Carpenter has introduced QR codes on its branded and tactical underlay products, allowing fitters and customers to provide direct feedback that can help towards ongoing product improvements. The company also launched larger A4-sized samples to strengthen its point-of-sale offering.
All foam offcuts generated across Carpenter’s European operations are recycled into underlay at its Glossop, Derbyshire, facility.
