Nearly 3,000 visitors and more than 400 brands came together at Harrogate Convention Centre from 20–22 September as The Flooring Show returned for three days of product discovery, practical learning and business connections.
The UK’s longest-running flooring trade event once again welcomed retailers, contractors, distributors, fitters, designers and specifiers to meet suppliers, explore the latest ranges and catch up with colleagues from across the industry.
From new product launches to live demonstrations and conversations on the stands, the 2026 edition reflected the breadth of the flooring sector and the community behind it.
Discovering products and making connections
Across carpet, LVT, wood, laminate, adhesives, underlay and tools, visitors had the opportunity to compare products and discuss their business needs directly with suppliers. For exhibitors, the show provided a valuable setting to introduce ranges, reconnect with customers and build new relationships.
The event welcomed visitors from nearly 1,800 companies. Retailers remained the largest visitor group, while attendance from contractors and fitters also increased on the previous year.
Exhibitors represented a broad mix of flooring, installation products, tools and business services.
The Design Spotlight, LVT Pavilion and Wool Trends Centre offered further opportunities for discovery, bringing materials, design ideas and specialist products into focus.
Practical showcase
Live demonstrations were once again a highlight of the visitor experience. In the FITA Demo Zone, visitors watched flooring techniques up close and picked up practical advice from experienced professionals.
The demonstrations created opportunities to ask questions, exchange knowledge and see the skills behind a successful installation in action.
Industry’s craftsmanship on show
The NICF Fitter of the Year competition drew visitors keen to watch five finalists put their skills to the test. Their work showcased the precision, patience and attention to detail that underpin the flooring trade, with the winner announced on the second day.
James Wilkinson, 2026 Fitter of the Year Champion
The competition remained an opportunity to celebrate the expertise of flooring installers and recognise the talent working across the industry.
Sustainability in the spotlight
The Sustainability Trail encouraged visitors to discover exhibitors taking steps to reduce their environmental impact, highlighting developments across products and business practices.
Ball & Young received this year’s Sustainability Award, recognising its commitment to a more sustainable flooring industry. The presentation took place during the exhibitor drinks reception in the Networking Lounge & Bar.
The Flooring Show will take place next year 19-21 September.
