Cavalier expands its portfolio with new colours and premium products

Cavalier showcased a range of new products and recolours at the Harrogate Flooring Show, with developments spanning polyester, wool and premium synthetic carpets.

Among the latest additions is Paradise, a new polyester range scheduled to launch at the end of October, alongside fresh colour options for the established Millstone collection. The company is also planning a January relaunch of a longstanding 10th-gauge, two-ply twist, introducing new colours to a familiar retailer favourite.
Looking further ahead, Cavalier is developing Fine Weave, a 100% wool, three-ply tighter loop carpet expected towards the end of the year. Inspired by the appearance of traditional Brussels weave, it aims to offer a similar aesthetic at a more accessible price point.

The company is also exploring a premium 100% solution-dyed nylon product, designed for customers seeking the resilience and easy-care benefits of synthetic fibres alongside a more luxurious appearance. Its matt, de-lustred finish avoids the shine often associated with synthetic carpets, while nylon’s resilience makes it an alternative for consumers who appreciate wool but prefer a lower-maintenance option.

Solution-dyed nylon involves colouring the fibres before the carpet is manufactured, helping ensure colour runs throughout the fibre. However, the process requires larger production commitments, meaning the planned range will initially offer a more selective choice of around 10 to 12 colours.

Across its developments, Cavalier remains focused on the mid-to-upper end of the market, prioritising quality and value rather than competing in the budget sector. The new launches and recolourations reflect its aim to build on established products while responding to evolving retailer and consumer needs.
