Unifloor marked its 25th year at the Flooring Show by promoting its established Jumpax underlay systems alongside its Heat Pak ranges, designed to support resilient flooring installations over underfloor heating.
Jumpax Classic and Jumpax HD remained key products on the stand, while particular emphasis was placed on Heat Pak and Heat Pak Plus, offering solutions for different types of underfloor heating systems.
Heat Pak comprises a 7mm combination of 3mm and 4mm boards, designed for use with electric underfloor heating systems. Heat Pack Plus, meanwhile, has been developed specifically for retrofitted water-based systems, where pipes are laid above the existing floor.
The latter combines a 10mm gypsum board with a 4mm MDF layer, bonded using Unifloor’s interactive adhesive system to create a solid, 14mm substrate. This allows resilient floor coverings to be installed directly onto the prepared surface.
Thermal performance is a key consideration for both products. Heat Pak has a TOG rating of 0.7, while Heat Pak Plus is rated at 0.8. These low ratings indicate minimal thermal resistance, allowing heat to pass efficiently through the boards and helping maintain comfortable indoor temperatures.
Both systems are supplied in the company’s traditional 600x1200mm board format, with the adhesive system ensuring the layers bond securely to provide a stable base for the finished floor.
With its combination of established underlay solutions and specialist boards for underfloor heating, Unifloor’s show presence highlighted the importance of choosing the right subfloor preparation system to support resilient flooring performance and efficient heat transfer.
