In a new survey of more than 7,000 people across seven European countries by internationally recognised flooring brand Quick-Step, it’s been revealed that 85% of UK home occupiers are willing to pay for lasting quality. And more than two-thirds of UK respondents prioritise long-term certainty and reliability over a lower upfront cost.
Where does this willingness to invest come from? The survey has shown a strong connection between peace of mind and a home that holds up. In fact, 82% of those surveyed agreed that a reliable home where everything functions properly is essential to relaxing.
“One of the most striking findings is how strongly people associate peace of mind with a home that simply works. People do not just want a beautiful home, they also want a home they can rely on. At Quick-Step, that idea is at the heart of our innovation strategy,” says Laurent Meersseman, Research, Design & Sustainability Director at Quick-Step.
Of the people surveyed, around a quarter are swayed by a reliable and trusted brand and a further 25% by the perceived long-term quality that these brands offer.
