Hugh Mackay returned to The Flooring Show with a stand designed to demonstrate exactly what the brand does best: distinctive flooring with personality, pattern and plenty of character.
At the heart of the display was Wilton Legacy, the brand’s striking polypropylene Wilton collection. With 16 colourways spanning tartans, houndstooth and animal-inspired designs, the range combines strong visual impact with the practicality needed for everyday living. Designed to make a statement whilst being easy to live with, Wilton Legacy offers a confident alternative to more understated flooring and reflects Hugh Mackay’s increasingly design-led direction.
That thinking was carried through to the brand’s refreshed Axminster display, which was given an entirely new look for Harrogate. Rather than using the unit simply to showcase a single collection, the stand was reimagined as a broader brand showcase, bringing together complementary products, textures and graphics within one carefully styled concept.
A rich jungle-inspired theme provided the backdrop, pairing deep greens, botanical imagery and bold pattern with leopard and zebra influences to create a display that felt theatrical, contemporary and unmistakably Hugh Mackay. The approach demonstrated how different collections can work together within a wider interior story, while helping retailers visualise the products beyond the traditional sample format.
The result was a stand with real stopping power, giving visitors a clear sense of Hugh Mackay’s personality: confident, expressive and rooted in great British carpet design.
For retailers, Harrogate offered not only new product inspiration but a fresh way of thinking about how the brand can be presented, styled and ultimately sold.
