Entries for this year’s Flooring Innovation Awards have been open for a month and a number of impressive entries have been pouring in, the event’s judges say. There is still plenty of time to enter this year’s awards – whether you would like to submit a product, a marketing campaign or an eco-innovation, the FIA Awards are your best opportunity to achieve industry-wide recognition.
As a reminder, there are 10 categories for entries:
- Carpets & rugs – natural fibre
- Carpets & rugs – man-made fibre
- Smooths (vinyls, laminate, cork, woods)
- Design – carpets and rugs
- Design – smooths
- Underlay & accessories (trims, profiles, anti-slip, etc.)
- Installation, products & tools
- Environmental initiatives
- Marketing concepts and merchandising/POS
- Technologies (techniques, apps, online, etc.)
After all the entries are collated and analysed by the judging panel, a list of 40 winners will be announced, and from that list, just 10 will be selected as Flooring Innovation Award Gold winners. This prestigious prize is a massive marketing boost for winning companies, only being awarded to products and schemes which demonstrate true originality and innovation. Last year’s Gold winners included Anywhere Ca-rPET by Alternative Flooring, a sisal lookalike made using recycled plastic bottles, as well as Inspiration Naturals by Tarkett, one of the most realistic LVTs on the market.
