This September marked the 20th year visiting The Flooring Show for Gill Finch, Managing Director of Stroolmount, and next year will be the company’s 20th year exhibiting. “When I first came, people couldn’t even say the name Stroolmount, but they’ve all come round to my way of thinking!” Gill tells The Stocklists.
Stroolmount offers a range of products which attach to furniture in order to protect flooring – as well as customers’ back muscles. For an immediate solution, the company recommends its self-adhesive felts, but for long-term protection, it offers QuickClick. Manufactured in Germany, the award-winning product is a multi-functional glide solution exclusive to Stroolmount in the UK, suitable for carpet, wood and tiled floors.
Particularly popular at Harrogate were Stroolmount’s MoveIt pads, which are a temporary moving aid supplied in a reusable bag. “The fitters love them,” Gill says, “every year they come and replace them because they’ve left them somewhere.”
Though they’re relatively niche products, Stroolmount’s range can save consumers a huge amount in the long run, Gill explains. “People don’t think about it until it’s too late. When you’re paying for flooring, it’s one of the most expensive things. Same with a sofa, it’s one of the most expensive things someone might buy, and then it scratches and it’s ruined.”
The company also introduced a new wooden display stand for its products at the show, replacing its previous cardboard options for a more durable option for retailers.
