Speaking with The Stocklists at this year’s Flooring Show, Sweeney Todd’s Anders says he is keen to maintain that positive reputation with the regular addition of new products to support precisely what the trade needs.
“The headline is our new range of cleaning materials, our new hoovers, warehouse cleaning equipment and airblowers for the drying of screed and carpets,” Anders says. With a strong philosophy that flooring professionals ought to buy from flooring professionals, Sweeney Todd looked at the hoover market in particular, finding that it was being driven primarily on price rather than performance. After a period of development, the company has now introduced a wet and dry hoover designed specifically for the flooring trade, which still comes in at a competitive price point!
Sweeney Todd’s sister brand, Kensington Trims, is a relative newcomer which once again meets a particular market niche specific to the flooring trade. The company’s premium profiles and trims enable transitions from carpet to carpet, vinyl to carpet, ceramic tiles to timber; or covering an expansion gap in doorways. “We identified the marketplace and tried to fill that particular gap with quality products, in order to give customers a decent option,” says Anders.
