The Cormar Carpet Company returned to the Flooring Show this year in its familiar prime location at the entrance of Hall A, unveiling a striking new look stand that showcased the latest developments from the brand. Approaching another milestone with its 70th anniversary next year, Cormar took 2025 as an opportunity to experiment with something new for its stand, showcasing modernised ranges and updated display concepts for retailers.
“We’ve taken an innovative approach to our stand this year,” explained David Cormack, Marketing Director. “We’ve introduced a refreshed design and layout that reflects the evolution of our brand and showcases our products in a contemporary way.” The new stand concepts included a sustainability wall, detailing Cormar’s impressive contributions to the industry’s eco efforts, such as its founding membership of UKSFA, ISO 14001 accreditation and partnership with Innovate Recycle.
Cormar’s stand also trialled a range of innovative display concepts, such as digital panels and lightboxes. “The Flooring Show gives us a great chance to present new ideas and get direct feedback from retailers,” said David Cormack, Marketing Director.
The headline product offering for this year was the relaunch of Natural Berber Twist, Cormar’s ever-popular wool twist carpet, with a recolour that focuses on warm, natural shades which have soared in popularity over the last two years. Now offering even greater value for money, the collection has seen the introduction of five new shades: Parchment, Limewood, Macaroon, Medlar and Troutbeck – each inspired by nature and perfect for creating a warm, country-style ambiance. The carpet is offered in two luxurious pile weights, Elite and Deluxe, with its Berber yarn providing a flecked appearance with a rustic effect.
Covering the floor of Cormar’s stand was Primo Naturals, another relaunch from earlier this year. This 1/8th gauge, 100% polypropylene twist pile carpet is manufactured with a tricolour yarn, creating a stippled tonal effect. Stain resistant and bleach cleanable, Primo Naturals is available in 4 and 5 metre widths and 15 colours, from the soft neutral tones of Miami Beach all the way to the richer shades of Chestnut and Midnight Grove.
Family-run since 1956, Cormar has gone from strength to strength, manufacturing quality British made carpets from its two Lancashire based mills. Along with reliability, a factor in Cormar’s success has always been good value and great service, which the company is able to guarantee thanks to its own fleet of over 70 distribution vehicles.
