Masterpiece Systems refines its measuring and planning tools

Masterpiece Systems used the Harrogate Flooring Show to highlight ongoing refinements to its software, demonstrating how retailers can build on its core measuring, planning and estimating tools to streamline more complex operations.

Rather than focusing on a single major launch, the company has continued developing features in response to the varied requirements of flooring businesses. Retailers can expand their use of the system to include manual planning, photographs, runners and whipping, and more complex LVT layouts incorporating borders and other design details.

Part-fit and split-fit management remains another distinctive feature, providing warehouse teams and fitters with information tailored to individual jobs. This also links with the company’s fitting diary, which has received numerous refinements to accommodate different scheduling needs, from customer text reminders to managing exceptions, overlapping appointments and fitter availability.

The fitter’s own tools have also been developed, allowing them to collect customer signatures, take photographs and complete checklists on site, with the information fed back into the main diary.

Masterpiece Systems is also working to improve how its software connects with external systems, helping retailers share information such as material lists more efficiently.

At the show, the company spoke with a range of customers, including multi-store businesses. A recurring theme was demonstrating the system’s benefits to staff who use it day to day, helping build support for wider adoption among management teams.
The focus remains on making the software increasingly adaptable to the practical demands of flooring retail.
