F.Ball and Co – Making some noise

This year at The Flooring Show, F. Ball took the opportunity to promote the performance and quality of its adhesives through its new ‘Quality worth banging on about’ campaign. The company also put on live demonstrations for several of its products, including the latest addition to its range, Stopgap 1400, as well as hosting its annual drinks reception.

“The Flooring Show is one of the most important events in our calendar,” said Managing Director Darren Kenyon. “It provides an essential opportunity to meet, catch up with customers and share new developments. While I can only speak for our attendance, the show was clearly well-attended and continues to be where the flooring industry comes together.”

The ‘Quality worth banging on about’ campaign highlights the work that goes on behind the scenes to make sure that flooring professionals can rely on the performance and quality of the company’s Styccobond adhesives range. This includes research and development to create the next generation of flooring adhesives, underpinned by exhaustive compatibility testing to provide over 6,000 adhesive recommendations for floorcoverings produced by over 200 manufacturers in the company’s industry-leading Recommended Adhesives Guide (RAG).

The company was also celebrating the launch of its Floorsight apprenticeship programme, which creates apprenticeships in conjunction with partnering flooring contractors. Launched in partnership with the Flooring Industry Training Association (FITA) and WEBS training and supported by the Contract Flooring Association (CFA), Floorsight aims to tackle the industry’s skills shortage by providing career pathways into flooring for young people, with the first cohort of 10 apprentices having enrolled in September.

Representatives from the F. Ball marketing, sales and liaison teams also attended the exhibition and helped visitors with any questions they had about F. Ball’s products and technical support, including free training courses delivered at the F. Ball Centre of Excellence in Staffordshire. The company also provided information to visitors on how to join the Ball Rewards loyalty programme, which entitles members to claim cashback each time they purchase F. Ball products, as well as a range of exclusive benefits, such as the opportunity to enter regular competitions and earn extra cashback on promotional products.

Darren concludes: “The overall experience was excellent. It was a well-attended show, and the live demonstrations of our Styccobond adhesives and subfloor preparation products, including the latest addition, Stopgap 1400, were very well received by delegates. There was a great atmosphere when the flooring industry came together, particularly during our drinks reception on the Monday afternoon of the show.”
