Balta used this year’s Flooring Show to preview a refreshed take on its established Heritage collections, alongside new additions designed to offer retailers greater choice across different price points and levels of luxury.
Scheduled to launch early next year, the updated Heritage Luxury and Heritage Exquisite ranges retain the traditional character of their original yarns while introducing a more contemporary construction and finish. The aim is to bring these established products up to date, combining a smart, refined appearance with the durability required for modern homes.
Available in three weights – 1200g, 1400g and 2000g – the collection offers options ranging from a shorter, tighter pile to a more luxurious finish. This flexibility allows retailers to cater to different customer preferences while providing a consistent style across the range.
Colour has also been carefully considered, with the updated palette reflecting the continuing move towards warmer interiors. While greys remain available for customers whose existing décor calls for them, greater emphasis has been placed on beige, greige and natural shades. The use of tricolour yarn further enhances the practical appeal, helping to disguise everyday marks and making the carpet well suited to busy households.
Manufactured in the UK using polypropylene, the ranges feature fleece backing to improve flexibility and make handling easier for fitters. They also sit within Balta’s Stain Safe offering, denoting bleach-cleanable properties.
Another key launch is Silhouette, which is due to reach the market around November or December. Made with polyester yarn, the approximately 1200g carpet combines a soft feel with an accessible price point. Its fleece backing supports easier installation, while a contemporary colour palette focuses on neutrals, complemented by selected lighter shades and greys.
Silhouette forms part of Balta’s Made in Heaven brand, which identifies products selected for their particularly soft handle and luxurious feel. The brand encompasses fibres such as polyester and polyamide, placing an emphasis on comfort underfoot.
Balta also highlighted the continuing success of Magical Feeling, another Made in Heaven offering. Designed to deliver a similarly indulgent sensation to other higher-end products, its appeal lies in providing a luxurious feel at a more accessible price.
Across its Harrogate line-up, Balta’s focus was on balancing comfort, durability and value. With the refreshed Heritage collections and the arrival of Silhouette, the company demonstrated its commitment to evolving established products while giving retailers options for consumers with differing budgets and expectations.
The response at the show was encouraging, with visitors showing interest in both the forthcoming launches and Balta’s existing ranges. The company reported a steady, positive event, with retailers responding well to its emphasis on quality, choice and competitive value.
