Leading British flooring brand Alternative Flooring showcased its collection, including 10 newly launched ranges, at Flanders Flooring Days this year, marking a milestone moment as the brand made its European debut. The exhibition was an opportunity to introduce Alternative Flooring to Europe for the first time, establishing new connections and opening up to exciting new markets.
With the full collection on display, the brand demonstrated the breadth of its offering, including the Make Me A Rug bespoke rug and runner design service, as well as the brand’s extensive range of carpets, rugs and runners in a range of colours, patterns, and textures.
The new collections spanned a broad design offering, from bold statement stripes and premium wools to innovative faux materials. A key highlight was Echo-CoRE, the UK’s first fully recyclable carpets, rugs and runners for the home, setting a new standard for sustainable floor coverings and addressing growing consumer demand for environmentally responsible home products.
Stripes played a leading role, with the Wool Candy Stripe collection embracing larger-scale patterns and confident colour combinations across three designs – Pinwheel, Candy Cane and Lollipop – all crafted in 100% wool fibre. New additions to the Margo Selby Carnival Stripes collection also marked ten years of collaboration with the acclaimed British textile designer.
The brand also showcased the Anywhere Ca-rPET and Velvet Ca-rPET collections – innovative floor coverings using fibres made from post-consumer plastic bottles, combining contemporary design with sustainable production.
