LOUIS De Poortere exhibited at INDX National Flooring Show between 13-14 May, Solihull.
INDX at Cranmore Park was the first opportunity for retailers to see Louis De Poortere’s new 2025 Ecorugs Collection. The Belgian manufacturer, which says it’s known for its beautiful woven rugs and carpets, exhibited at the event, bringing highlights from the collection alongside Monochromes rugs, and Richelieu carpet and runners.
For 2025, Louis De Poortere says it’s been able to increase the amount of recycled polyester in every new rug to 40% (up from 20% in 2023) without compromising quality and refinement.
Louis De Poortere presented new designs in Ecorugs and also showcased some of the qualities suitable for outdoor use, giving retailers the chance to enter the growing outdoor living market.
The 2025 Ecorugs Collection saw a range of new designs, all of which were on show at INDX. For this year, the Antiquarian line saw new designs in Suzani, Tabriz, Kasak, Antalia, while Mad Men enjoyed two new designs in Sol and Virgin Land. Louis De Poortere also expanded Structures with Berber and Craft with Ribbon.
Designed in collaboration with Stockholm-based Folkform, Monochromes is a capsule rug and wall textile collection. Inspired by wilton weaving, Folkform has blurred the boundaries by reversing the face of the textile so the jute backing and intensely coloured wool wefts create the design itself, says the company.
Visitors to INDX saw the Richelieu family of carpets and runners. Alongside refined and elegant woven wool carpets for discerning homes, Richelieu includes the wool-rich Richelieu Classic bespoke runner programme that reportedly offers over 20,000 possible design combinations in four widths from lengths of just 10m.
Louis De Poortere also showcased its new Wilton collection, Les Blancs Structurés, for the very first time. This minimalist design comes in what’s described as stunning geometric textures in the purity of white ‘to enhance even the most prestigious of interiors’.
Alan Russell, sales director, says: ‘We’re particularly excited about our outdoor ready rugs this year, as they let retailers tap into the growing outdoor living market with stock available to make the most of the run-up to the summer period. People are already getting out into their gardens in preparation for those long summer days, so visiting us at INDX was just the thing to unlock sales growth from a new market.’
