The show had a real feel-good factor this year,” said Eamonn Prescott, Chief Executive of Greendale. “We were not sure what to expect with the challenging state of the market, but as ever, the trade was showing its resilience and looking forward to some positive times ahead.”
Greendale Carpets & Flooring are a buying group based in Hereford and have members right across the UK including Northern Ireland and The Channel Islands.
“We really do represent the four corners of the United Kingdom, and it was great to have members visit the show from as far afield as Nairn, Aberdeen, Devon and Kent. It was lovely to see our members travel in such numbers to come and support the show.”
Greendale are unique among buying groups in that it has their own purpose bult warehouse in Hereford, where it holds stock for the exclusive use of its members.
“We combine having a stand here as a base for the members to use, along with recruiting new ones and visiting the stands of our suppliers to secure some great ‘show offers,” said Eamonn. “The beauty of the group is the warehouse. We have managed to take advantage of some supplier show offers to buy in excess of forty rolls and pass those savings onto our members.”
Greendale currently has membership opportunities in the following areas: NORFOLK, SUFFOLK, CAMBRIDGESHIRE, NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE, LEEDS/BRADFORD, SHEFFIELD, NORTH WALES AND EDINBURGH.
