As the world’s largest vertically-integrated polyurethane manufacturers, Carpenter has deep, specialist expertise in the raw materials used to create carpet underlay. This in-depth proficiency allows the company to create a range of products suitable for almost any application, National Sales Manager Richard Booth tells The Stocklists.
At Harrogate this year, Carpenter focused on highlighting this versatility through its FIA—winning Point of Sale boards for retailers. The customisable boards display three different underlay options, labelled Standard, Comfort and Performance, and based on a given retailer’s preference and customer-base, each underlay can be swapped out in a modular fashion. Given the company’s expansive range of underlay options, from Deepstep to Prostep to Magic (all suitable for different situations and customer preferences) a customisable POS option is a perfect fit.
Making the boards even more attractive, Carpenter can create a bespoke version for retailers and have them sent out within 48 hours, all for free! It’s not too hard to see why, as Richard says, the boards have been received “really, really well” in the market.
As usual, Carpenter attended The Flooring Show both to promote the brand by increasing awareness of its products and to support the industry. “Harrogate is important to us,” Richard says. “The flooring industry needs a show like this – we love being here and supporting it.”
