The Flooring Show continued to expand this year with even more brands, more halls and more features than ever before, and that growth is set to continue even further in 2026 with the addition of a new show for the South in Sandown Park, Surrey. Attendance at this year’s show was excellent, with retailers, distributors and fitters filling the show’s halls throughout, and conversations buzzing from every stand.
The exhibition saw the Fitter of the Year – LVT competition come to its exciting conclusion, with Dan Jones ultimately taking home the grand prize. It also featured the FITA Demo Zone in Hall B, which hosted a packed schedule of practical demonstrations for a range of different floorcoverings and techniques.
This year – as has been the case for several years now – exhibitors had to tread the fine line between maintaining a relentless focus on quality and sustainability while offering affordable enough ranges for the market to sustain. For many, this meant both expanding their offerings into different categories such as smooths and woods, but in some cases it also meant streamlining products that haven’t been as popular in recent years.
Sustainability remains at the top of everyone’s agenda, with sourcing and supply chain issues bringing the topic into even sharper relief. The recently rebranded UKSFA was in attendance, as was many of its members, and Tarkett was the recipient of The Flooring Show Sustainability Award for 2025, highlighting its truly circular floors.
Of course, across all the companies exhibiting there was a high emphasis placed on quality and service, with manufacturers and distributors alike investing massive sums into research in order to develop and target their ranges most effectively. In a market with such high levels of competition and product quality overall, it’s these small gains in knowledge and efficiency that will allow flooring companies to thrive.
