Between the 15-16 April, more than 1,800 flooring professionals visited the inaugural edition of The Flooring Show South, organisers have announced. Held at Sandown Park in Surrey, the event was launched to balance the main Harrogate exhibition in September, offering a comparable experience for companies based in the South.
More than 100 brands exhibited at the launch event, across product categories including LVT, carpet, wood, laminate, underlays and adhesives, as well as installation tools and even software.
Over the years, the Harrogate exhibition has expanded to several halls and features multiple events from award ceremonies to floor fitting competitions, however the first Southern show was a much more product-focused affair, with little to get in the way of the event’s primary purpose – buying, selling and networking. Visitors seemed happy with this arrangement though, and the majority of stands were abuzz with activity from the event’s 9am opening through to the end of each day.
Given the significant pressures many flooring firms are facing in 2026, TFS South’s level of buy-in from both manufacturers and visitors is incredibly impressive. Inevitably, there is some concern the event may have an impact on attendance at Harrogate later this year, but if organisers can put on as impressive a show as they did this April, it’s hard to imagine many choosing to miss out. The Flooring Show Harrogate will take place 20-22 September, 2026, and The Flooring Show South with return to Sandown Park for the 14-15 April 2027. See you there!
