Mohawk Industries has announced that Paul F. De Cock will become Chief Executive Officer on 30 September 2026, succeeding Jeffrey S. Lorberbaum, who is retiring after 25 years in the role.
Lorberbaum will remain Chairman of the Board, while De Cock also joins the board as a director. Currently President and Chief Operating Officer, De Cock has been with Mohawk since the acquisition of Unilin in 2005 and has held senior leadership positions across multiple product categories and international markets.
Under Lorberbaum’s leadership, Mohawk grew into the world’s largest flooring manufacturer through a combination of organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. The transition forms part of the company’s long-term succession planning process.
De Cock said his focus would be on driving growth, innovation and operational performance while building on the company’s existing strengths and global market position.
