Likewise Group has exchanged contracts to purchase a new 60,000sq ft high-bay distribution hub in Corby for £9.57m, with completion expected on 21 August.
The facility is expected to begin operations in January 2027 and will significantly increase storage, cutting and trunking capacity across the Likewise Floors Logistics Network.
The investment comes as the distributor continues to report strong sales growth. July revenue was 23.9% higher than the same month last year, while year-to-date sales were up 18.3% on a like-for-like basis. Order intake and invoicing have also started strongly in August ahead of the traditionally busier autumn trading period.
Chief Executive Tony Brewer said the acquisition represented another important step in the group’s development, adding that support from shareholders and banking facilities would provide flexibility for Likewise to become a “meaningfully larger business”.
