The joint administrators appointed for Adam Carpets in March 2025 have released a report detailing their progress from the beginning of the process to 19 September 2025.
Although the administrators made an attempt to sell Adam Carpets’ remaining business and assets as a whole, and although there were many “expressions of interest” in the business, they ultimately received no offers. It was therefore deemed appropriate to sell the company’s remaining assets piecemeal.
The company’s main manufacturing machinery has been purchased by Tufting Machinery Services Holding Limited at £188,440, while further assets related to dying and drying yarn were sold to unconnected third parties.
Adam Carpets’ former premises, located in Kidderminster, were also sold in July. The property was “comprehensively openly marketed” by Watling and Edwards for approximately two months, which saw a strong level of interest, with over 65 enquiries and 20 viewings. After an initial offer, which was later rescinded, Watling and Edwards viewed the alternative offers and recommended the acceptance of another offer for the same value as the first.
The administrators do not anticipate an extension to their appointed period of one year will be necessary.
