New online carpet campaign builds on success
A new online carpet campaign is launched this month after the Carpet Foundation were "blown away" by the feedback from consumers to their first campaigns in 2022.
“Last year we put a toe in the water and were blown away by the response," says Carpet Foundation Chief Executive Andrew Stanbridge.
"We saw significant increases in visits to our website, and page views, in comparison to the previous year. For example, in our last 5 week burst from October - November individual visits to our website were up 273.50% on the same period in 2021 while new users were up 283.08%," he said.
"While we cannot say for sure how much business this led to for our retailers, we must remember that consumers don’t browse carpet websites for fun!" said Andrew. "They do so when they are ‘in the market’ for new carpet. All four advertisements, and titles, performed above the industry norm so it was a no-brainer to do it again.“

The new three-month campaign starts on March 6 and will run across the same four leading home interest magazines as last year – homesandgardens.com, livingetc.com, idealhome.com and realhomes.com – with the objective of promoting Carpet Foundation independent retailers as the people to buy carpet from.
There are four different advertisements, which utilise vibrant and eye-catching imagery and simple yet strong messages. The call to action is to ‘buy from one of our experts’ and directs consumers to the Carpet Foundation website.
The initial three month burst takes in March, April and May although the intention is to come back again from September onwards – the economy and trade conditions permitting., says the Foundation.
