International textile interior design fair, Heimtextil, saw Louis De Poortere reveal its 2025 Ecorugs Collection to over 50,000 buyers from across the world.
Louis De Poortere presented its 2025 Ecorugs Collection at Heimtextil, including selected styles now available as outdoor rugs. The 2025 Ecorugs Collection is the latest iteration of the Belgian weaver’s recyclable rug collection that’s made entirely from polyester. Louis De Poortere has progressed the collection to now include 40% rPET and it remains fully recyclable through the Take Care Program.
Visitors to Heimtextil got to see the collection’s new designs as well as new colours in existing lines. However, the real stars of the show were the brand’s new outdoor suitable rugs that bring a layer of comfort to outdoor living spaces, which continue to grow in popularity.
Louis De Poortere’s popular designs now bring style and comfort to outdoor as well as indoor areas. Machine washable, these rugs are ideal for retailers looking to capitalise on a growing market. Louis De Poortere plans for its entire 2026 Ecorugs Collection to be suitable for outdoor use.

The British Furniture Confederation (BFC), the public affairs umbrella body of furniture and beds, furnishings and flooring sector trade associations, has unveiled its new Plan for Growth. The document is said to support BFC’s advocacy across four key pillars: skills and education; trade and exports; standards and regulations; and the environment and circular economy. It has been developed over the past few months, the organisation says, evolving from a combination of position papers written by the associations’ executives and a comprehensive survey of their collective members.
Consumer card spending grew 1.0% year-on-year in February – lower than January’s 1.9% increase and less than the latest CPIH inflation rate of 3.9%, according to recent figures reported by Barclays. In anticipation of higher bills, consumers are said to be cutting back on essential outgoings, but still prioritising discretionary purchases, contributing to an uptick in optimism in the health of personal and household finances.
