Carpet retailers are being encouraged to roll out the red (white or blue) carpet to mark the coronation of King Charles III in May.
The Wool Carpet Focus Group has launched a competition to find the best window display for Coronation Day on palace among the prizes.
The initiative is supported by the Campaign for Wool of which Charles was patron when he was Prince of Wales.
The organisers would like the displays to appear early in April and
throughout May. The presentation must promote at least one benefit
of wool floorcovering.
Retailers are asked to post their window display to their own social
media channels usng the hashtag #lovewoolcarpets and judging will
take place in the first week of May. The winners will be announced at
the Buying Group National Flooring Show in Solihull on May 10.
