Harrogate's getting bigger and better

As exhibitor bookings for The Flooring Show outpace last year’s impressive performance, organisers have confirmed the show’s expansion into Hall Q at Harrogate Convention Centre.  


The Flooring Show, taking place on 17-19 September 2023, has already filled Halls A-M at the venue and is now expanding into the King’s Suite and Hall Q. With 164 companies currently confirmed for this year’s event, it’s already ahead of last year and showing no signs of slowing down.


Event Director, Alex Butler, says “We couldn’t be happier with the response we’ve had for The Flooring Show 2023. Last year’s show was 30% bigger than the previous year, so to already be ahead of those final numbers surpasses all expectations”. 

     

The Flooring Show is one of the longest standing exhibitions in the UK. Having celebrated its 60th anniversary in Harrogate last year, the show is firmly cemented as the UK’s market leading event for the flooring industry.   


3,000 buyers, specifiers, contractors, fitters, architects, and interior designers descend on Harrogate each year for three days of networking and buying. This year’s show boasts new features including the ‘LVT Pavilion’ where visitors can see the latest designs and trends in luxury vinyl tiles, alongside much loved features such as NICF’s ‘Fitter Of The Year Competition’ which is also dedicated to LVT this year.


The Flooring Show attracts manufacturers and suppliers of carpet, laminate, LVT, wood, vinyl, cork, grass, as well as underlay, adhesives, and tools. Industry body unveils “Plan for Growth” to Government

The British Furniture Confederation (BFC), the public affairs umbrella body of furniture and beds, furnishings and flooring sector trade associations, has unveiled its new Plan for Growth. The document is said to support BFC’s advocacy across four key pillars: skills and education; trade and exports; standards and regulations; and the environment and circular economy. It has been developed over the past few months, the organisation says, evolving from a combination of position papers written by the associations’ executives and a comprehensive survey of their collective members.

Furniture spend up 2.4% with Barclaycard

Floorcoverings up 0.6% in January
