Floating on Tredaire quality – Interfloor
A clever display of floating feathers across the walls welcomed visitors to Interfloor’s attractive stand at the BGNFS, marking the signature style of a new collection of premium underlays under the Tredaire brand.
The eye-catching feather motif that now adorns a range of eight underlays is designed to set them apart as something special – PU underlays with exceptional comfort alongside uncompromising quality.
A brand new 6mm underlay has joined a selection of existing 8–11mm luxury ranges but with enhancements across the board including a high spec paper backing with the sophisticated feather branding and a scrim layer for improved dimensional stability.
All the Tredaire Premier products are made with 100% recycled polyurethane foam.
“We have had this concept on the back burner for a while,
just waiting on the ideal opportunity to bring it to market,”
says Interfloor Sales Director Gary Cowley.
“Independent retailers are very good at selling underlay alongside their carpet sales and this new range gives them a great opportunity for added-value sales that delivers both an improved customer experience and a higher cash margin for the retailer’, he said.
Sharing the limelight with this new collection, is the super-sustainable renu range – an underlay of such impeccable environmental credentials that it was selected to cover many square metres at the UN’s COP26 Climate Change Conference in Glasgow last year.
Super sustainability
Renu is now well established with 200 retailers across the UK and being taken up fast by discerning consumers.
The underlay is made from 98% recycled materials including 100% post-consumer foam saved from landfill, and using only ethically sourced and generally recycled content, and at the end of life it is 100% recycled itself.
The backing is made from recycled and unbleached paper and even the ink used for printing on it is vegetable-based together with a carbon negative bio-based fi lm coating made from sugar cane.
